Taylor & Francis announces new publishing partnership with Japan Society of Civil Engineers from 2018

Taylor & Francis and the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE) are pleased to announce their new publishing partnership from 2018.

Taylor & Francis will publish Coastal Engineering Journal on behalf of JSCE. With its 60th volume due to publish in 2018, this well-established journal features articles on coastal, harbor, and offshore engineering achievements and practices.

Established as an incorporated association in 1914, JSCE now has approximately 39,000 members. The society’s mission is to contribute to building a sustainable society for present and future generations through promoting and progressing civil engineering. It aims to accomplish this through enhancing professional knowledge, skills and practices; strengthening the contribution of civil engineering to society; and promoting communication, cooperation, and collaboration among the members.

The new partnership brings the respected Coastal Engineering Journal to Taylor & Francis’s engineering portfolio, enhancing existing offerings in this area, and forging connections with the Japanese engineering community.

Lyndsey Dixon, Regional Editorial Journals Director for APAC at Taylor & Francis, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with the Japan Society of Civil Engineers on the publication of Coastal Engineering Journal. This is an excellent journal, with which we are privileged to work, and through our partnership we are looking forward to helping Coastal Engineering Journal become an even better servant to its research community.”

Akio Okayasu, Chair of Coastal Engineering Committee, JSCE commented: “We are delighted to be commencing this partnership with Taylor & Francis, and are excited about the new opportunities it will open up for our journal. Taylor & Francis’s extensive network will enable us to share the high-quality exposition that Coastal Engineering Journal is known for with a worldwide audience, helping to further accelerate the understanding of coastal engineering world through our research output.”
