EmTech Asia - 22-23 January 2019, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore

Technology has become incredibly intelligent and already knows a lot about our internal states.

Dr Poppy Crum, Adjunct Professor at Stanford University’s Centre for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) and the Chief Scientist of Dolby Laboratories, recently said during her TED talk that “A computer can now detect our slightest face micro-expressions and be able to tell between a real smile and a fake one”. “Technology that reads and integrates the personal signatures we give off and exchange will be a new part of how we interact with each other and our technology. It will mean that sharing how we are feeling — our authentic emotions — may at times be out of our control, and might even happen without us knowing.” Read more about Dr Crum’s research at link below. Dr Poppy Crum will be speaking at EmTech Asia. Join us for two days of intelligent conversation as we explore the emerging technologies with the greatest potential for impact.
