It is our pleasure to introduce about the Society of Environmental Journalists-Nepal (SEJ-Nepal), the largest and national network media organization in Nepal working in the field of environment and sustainable development through different tools of media advocacy
(For instance: Audio-visual production and transmission, capacity building of the local journalists in the diversified environmental issues, training and orientation, interactions, seminars, workshop and discussion programs, feature writing, field visit and reporting, publications and media dissemination) for a decade in Nepal.
We are publishing the Environmental News National Weekly only on environment, the first ever in Nepalese news media.
About two thousand journalists and about one thousand environmentalists, students and professionals are actively working under this organization as member.
It has been working with coordination of local networks, 67 district branches out of 75 district and 5 regional branches out of 5-development region in Nepal.
We would like to collaborate on media awareness through following media tools.
a) Training to the local journalists
b) Production and transmission of Radio and Television programs
c) Publications(Environment News National Weekly, publishing 8000 copies and distributing in the local level through our networks)
d) Policy lobbying through seminars, workshop and interaction
e) Fellowship and media expouser programs
