The Arab Science and Technology Foundation (ASTF) is pleased to announce that the registration phase for the Competition Made in the Arab World (MIA) is extended to April 15th 2007. Winners of these local competitions will compete in the Pan Arab "Made in the Arab World" Finals that will take place this year in Egypt on 3-4 November, 2007. Competing projects will address issues related to the Arab region with a working prototype fully functional at the end of each competition. Cash Prizes for winning projects will sum to $50,000 and commercialization efforts will be offered to all of them. All the participant will see their work published in the event proceedings.
We have local partners running the competition in the following countries: Egypt, Libya, Morocco, & Palestine, Sudan, Syria, U.A.E, and Yemen.
For all countries above a specific flag exists in the online registration form representing each country. For participants from other countries, an "Others" flag is added with ASTF Egypt office as the main responsible organizer.
