* How innovations can help develop the commercial value of research products
* How local institutions of higher learning can use the innovation concepts that run parallel with sustainability element in the field of networking, intellectual property rights, developing research parks and for the purpose of commercialisation
* How innovation tools can be of value
* How innovation and sustainability can synergized and strengthened
The Forum will discuss the latest issues on technological, sociological and research trends in innovating for sustainable development, with expert guidance from an international panel of speakers and chairpersons.
The 5 core themes of the forum will be
- Innovation and Policy Towards Sustainability
- Innovation and Funding Towards Sustainability
- Innovation, Research and Invention Towards Sustainability
- Innovation and Networking & Linkages Towards Sustainability
CALL FOR PAPERS:
Individuals interested in presenting papers on the above themes are most welcome to submit their abstracts to [email protected]. A panel of judges will review all papers and the best innovative ideas will be awarded grants in collaboration with Malaysian researchers. The abstracts should be submitted by 15 June 2007. Notification of the acceptance of the paper will be by 25 June 2007. All papers must be submitted by 15 July 2007. Abstracts should not exceed 500 words and should be in Times New Roman, font 12 and double spaced.
