Introduction
To accelerate the Growth and Development of North East Thailand (Isaan Region), the Thai Government has supported the establishment of the International Aviation College within the recently opened Nakhon Phanom University . This University aims to be an International hub in the Indochina Peninsula due to the proximity with Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and even South China.
Objective
The assigned objective of IAC-NPU is to be a Flight Training Organisation of the highest quality, thus become the 'standard Bearer' in Asia . The main aim is to train young men and women for the Commercial Pilots' License (CPL/IR).
Training Capacity
Our planned capacity is 20 cadets every 6 weeks (to be attained by May 2008).
Training period: 70 Weeks
Syllabus
Our core syllabus fulfills the ICAO CPL/IR requirements and is also compliant with the JAR modular CPL/IR which is termed “ frozen ATPL” in Europe. In addition, it includes a Multi Crew Cooperation Course (MCC) and Entry Level Training (ELT), done on an AIRBUS A320 Fixed Base Simulator (FBS) (FAA Level 6) . Our Syllabus comprises :
- 1123 hours of Ground Lectures (Including 200 h utilized by Flying School and Simulator division for Tutorials, Mass briefing, and Type Ratings).
- 317 hours of Flying which is further broken down to :
• 132 Hours of Flight on Single Engine.
• 5 Hours of Aerobatic.
• 90 Hours of Twin engine “Glass Cockpit”. (DA-42)
• 15Hours on FNPT I Simulator.
• 40Hours on FNPT II Simulator.
• 35 Hours on FBS Airbus A320 (MCC- ELT).
Being able to train on the JAR syllabus, we can tailor a syllabus on demand to specific needs (Indian DGCA for example).
Instructors
Our team of International Instructors is highly experienced, and comprises many former Airlines instructors, some of whom had occupied managerial positions. They are fully aware of the " Entry Level Standards" the world Airlines of today expect.
