ESSEC BUSINESS SCHOOL & Keio Business School launch a MBA-level double degree to start in 2009

The agreement marks the first MBA double degree set up by Keio Business School with a school from another country at MBA level, as well as this is the first time that ESSEC has established such a partnership with a Japanese Business School.

On Friday, 5th September, Graduate School of Business Administration of Keio University (Keio Business School) and ESSEC Business School (ESSEC) in France signed a double degree agreement, executed by Yuichiro Anzai (President, Keio University) and Pierre Tapie (President and Dean, ESSEC Business School), held at the ambassador’s official residence of the Japanese Embassy in Paris.

The signing ceremony successfully took place with attendance of HE Yutaka Iimura (Japanese Ambassador to France), Tatsuya Sakamoto (Vice President, Keio University), Kyoichi Ikeo (Dean, Keio Business School), French governmental parties, Mitakai France and researchers of ESSEC who worked at Keio University as exchange researcher in the past.

The agreement marks the first MBA double degree set up by Keio Business School with a school from another country at MBA level, as well as this is the first time that ESSEC has established such a partnership with a Japanese Business School. The agreement will offer their respective students the chance to study one single common program and for which they will be awarded the MBA diplomas of both institutions. In addition to the MBA curriculum, the programs will enable the students to gain the language ability and bi-cultural insight into management issues, representing an exceptionally important opportunity in the current climate of globalization
