NIMS concludes MOU with DECHEMA Forschungsinstitut, Germany

On 5th Mar, 2012, The High Temperature Materials Unit at Japan's National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), concluded a Memorandum of Understanding MOU concerning "Protection of materials against oxidation and hot corrosion" with DECHEMA Forschungsinstitut (DFI), Germany.

The State Key Laboratory of Silicon Materials has a staff of 28, including one academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, eleven full professors, four associated professors, and two senior engineers. The Laboratory is engaged in the basic and applied research on silicon materials and other semiconductor materials in the following areas: 1. the growth of silicon crystals with large diameters, defects and impurities in the silicon materials, 2. preparations, characterizations, and applications of silicon-based thin films, 3. composite semiconductor optoelectronic materials, and 4. composite functional materials. The Laboratory aims to become an advanced laboratory in the field of silicon materials and other advanced composite semiconductor materials.

We are expecting a further development of novel low-dimensional nanomaterials research based on the MOU.
