UiTM Teams Bag Prizes in Hack@10

Two teams from UiTM won third and fourth placing in Hack@10, a hacking competition organised by Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) and Time Engineering Bhd, as game provider.

The two-day competition, held at UNITEN in Kajang on 7 to 8 April 2012, saw 20 teams from public and private universities in Malaysia vying for cash prizes worth over RM6000 for the top five spots. There was also a participant from Vietnam’s Duy Tan University.

UiTM was represented by UiTM1 (the FooBar) and UiTM2 (the Sentinel), each made up of three students from the Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences. UiTM1 took the third place to win a prize of RM1000 – only one point behind MMU2, which bagged RM2000 at second place. The top prize of RM3000 was secured by UTM1.

Our second team, UiTM2, had a close fight with UTM2, which ended in a tie. Both teams won a consolation prize of RM300 each. The FooBar team (UiTM1) was made up of Mohd Zulhilmi, Saiful Syazwan and Zainozzaman Zaini, while the Sentinel (UiTM2) comprised Elyas Foo, Mohd Sofi Wahab and Zulhari Seman.

Congratulations to the UiTM teams for the fighting spirit and the winning streak!
