Combining lectures by experts and practical activities, the training program will cover the theory of labour markets; research methodologies; growth, structural transformation, and employment; labour market institutions and policies; earnings, inequality, and labour market segmentation; and emerging issues for labour economics research in South Asia.
Application deadline is August 8, 2015. About 20 applicants will be selected.
SARNET is a research network of South Asian institutions and scholars coordinated by the Institute for Human Development (IHD), New Delhi, in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), with support from IDRC.
