University of Malaya and VINCI Construction MOU Signing Ceremony

The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be held on January 20, 2016 at 3.30 pm at the Court Room, University of Malaya.

Kuala Lumpur – The University of Malaya, Malaysia’s premier higher education institution and VINCI Construction, the worlds largest construction company by revenue, wish to announce that they have agreed to jointly work on a collaborative project on encouraging and promoting cooperation in research and development in the field of Capacity Building and Local Talent Development. In order to record their intentions, the Parties will enter into a mutually agreed MoU as a first step toward achieving these shared goals. The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be held on January 20, 2016 at 3.30 pm at the Court Room, University of Malaya.

The project which will span 3 years will include final year projects for undergraduates, internship placements for undergraduates and also research projects for academics and postgraduates, graduate employability, worksite visits, technical presentations, seminar/training sessions, career talks, Student Competition on Architecture Design and any other areas of cooperation agreed by both parties. The partnership will be lead by UM’s Centre for Innovative Construction Technology (CICT) Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya, The collaboration between UM and VINCI was facilitated by Invest KL.
