Unique perspectives featured in new ASEAN-Canada Research Partnership publication

Natural Resource Management for Sustainable Growth highlights the impact of unsustainable natural resource management on growing income inequality in Southeast Asia.

The second publication of the ASEAN-Canada Research Partnership project, supported by Canada's International Development Research Centre (IDRC), draws on field research by emerging and established researchers from Southeast Asia and Canada. The four themes highlighted in the book — extractive resources, forestry, water, and fisheries — employ varying methodologies, bringing unique perspectives to the existing literature on natural resource management in Southeast Asia. This volume builds on the Partnership’s first publication, Balanced Growth for an Inclusive & Equitable ASEAN Economy, which explored economic inequality amid growth.
