Filipinas (Pictures attached)

Filipinas is a series of thirty photographs of a select group of women representing the arts, education, civil society and politics.

Filipinas was intended to travel to various educational and national institutions in the country, such as the CCP, where it was launched, and now here at the Vargas Museum. Afterwards, it will be brought to the United States and certain European cities in celebration of women in general and Filipinas in particular.

Isa Lorenzo graduated from the New School University-Parsons School of Design in New York City with a Master of Arts in Media Studies and Photography. She has shown at the Museum of Modern Art, the International Center of Photography, and the Thomas Werner Gallery, all in New York. Her work has been collected in the United States and Asia. She is currently the Creative Director of Silver Lens, a photo agency based in Manila which represents a stable of photographers producing high concept stock photos, commercial images, and news photography.
