Frost & Sullivan hosts Growth, Innovation & Leadership (GIL) Korea 2014 in Seoul

Seoul, South Korea, 12 June 2014 - Frost & Sullivan’s flagship community of world’s top business visionaries, innovators and leaders, GIL Global, held its fourth GIL 2014 : Korea congress today, 12th June at the 63 Convention Center, Seoul. Frost & Sullivan holds its Growth, Innovation & Leadership (GIL) Congress across eighteen cities annually. It is regarded as a platform for sharing innovative ideas, engaging in discussions and strategizing to solve some of the key challenges affecting this region.

In his opening speech, Mr. Heesang Koo, Country Director for Frost & Sullivan Korea stated that GIL Korea provides a unique forum to develop your analytical, strategic, visionary and innovative skills. You will take away the necessary tools and actionable strategies for critical decision-making.

Mr. Manoj Menon, Asia Pacific Managing Director & Partner of Frost & Sullivan spoke about ‘New Mega Trends Transforming the world as we know it’. He presented the updated Mega Trends study done recently by Frost & Sullivan and shared ideas on how to integrate these into their growth strategy.

This year, the theme of 'Connected Living' was discussed in detail throughout the congress. This will be an extension of Frost & Sullivan's recent focus on the integration of smart technology across various industries and countries. According to Frost & Sullivan forecasts, the connected living and smart city applications are expected to reach upwards of a trillion dollars by 2020.

Olivia Price-Walker, Senior Consultant, Visionary Innovation Research of Frost & Sullivan presented on Connected Living. This presentation provided visionary insights into the impact of Connectivity and Convergence on our future live, driven by the rapid proliferation of connected devices and services. She stated that new services will create innovative applications, enable seamless access and ubiquitous connectivity in the mail sectors of home, work and city.

The congress also featured Three Think Tank sessions on Future factory, healthcare and Automotive. These sessions provided what are the key trends driving the industries and identify convergence opportunities across industries, products, technologies and competitors.
