Preparation of a palm empty fruit bunch (EFB) catalyst for biodiesel production

Researchers at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) have invented a new method for producing a catalyst for use in biodiesel production.

The invention is a method for producing a heterogeneous catalyst at a specific ratio of oil palm empty fruit bunch (EFB) to potassium source for transesterification in biodiesel production.
