Faculty of Business and Accountancy, University of Malaya, Malaysia, has been awarded the 4 Palmes of Excellence- Top Business School with Significant International Influence

On 12 October 2015, results of the Eduniversal annual ranking for the best 1000 business schools in 154 countries were announced and Faculty of Business & Accountancy (FBA), University of Malaya has again made its mark as the only business school in Malaysia being awarded 4 Palmes of Excellence.

Established in France in 1994 Eduniversal has since founded strong expertise in evaluating academic institutions and programs. Embarking on the international platform in 2007, Eduniversal has become a global ranking and rating agency specializing in higher education.

Currently Eduniversal produces two annual global rankings covering nine geographical zones namely Africa, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Eurasia & Middle East, Far East Asia, Latin America, North America, Oceania, Western Europe.

On 12 October 2015, results of the Eduniversal annual ranking for the best 1000 business schools in 154 countries were announced and Faculty of Business & Accountancy (FBA), University of Malaya has again made its mark as the only business school in Malaysia being awarded 4 Palmes of Excellence. This award recognizes the Faculty as TOP business school with significant international influence for eight consecutive years since 2008 with 198% Dean’s recommendation rate.

The ranking system is based on Deans Vote within each Palme league annually. A Palme level is awarded based on a set of internationalization criteria covering aspects on accreditation, major rankings of business schools and membership in international and national academic associations. Within each country there are five levels of excellence recognized as Palmes of Excellence describing the international reputation of a school at national and global levels.

This 4 Palmes recognition signifies the quality and reputation of the Faculty as the best business school in the country, at par with other prestigious business schools in Boston University, Texas A&M University, Imperial College London and Lancaster University to name a few. This achievement is a result of the continuous commitment towards excellence and full supports from the Faculty members and the University management. The Faculty is aspired to improve further and strive for the 5 Palmes of Excellence in the future.
