Asia Malaria Images Exhibition

The project is a collaboration between Singapore-based photographer, Pearl Gan with Professor J.Kevin Baird in association with the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit, Vietnam; Eijkman Oxford Clinical Research Unit, Jakarta and The Welcome Trust.

Drop by the Asia Malaria Images Exhibition at the National Library Board from 2nd September - 29th September. It photo-documents the “faces” of malaria; the journey of those suffering malaria, bridging the patients, their immediate families, community care providers and their place at the periphery of the modern world. The aim is to capture their daily life, their suffering and their humanity, which is largely invisible to the rest of the world. The exhibition aims to elevate the awareness of this serious Asia-Pacific health problem. It is important to help people across the world see past the invisibility of these isolated and impoverished communities in Asia Pacific. Dates: Starts 2nd September 2017, 10.00am Ends 29 September, 2017, 9.00pm Location: Level 8 , The Promenade, National Library Board, 100 Victoria Street, Singapore 188064 Source: https://expatliving.sg/event/asia-malaria-images-exhibition/
