The 12th Asia Oil and Gas Conference (AOGC-2007)

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - The conference, themed 'A Shared Future', seeks to discuss and address issues and challenges faced by all sectors within the oil and gas industry.

Malaysia will host the 12th Asia Oil and Gas Conference (AOGC-2007) to be held from June 10 to 12.

The conference, themed 'A Shared Future', seeks to discuss and address issues and challenges faced by all sectors within the oil and gas industry, the New Straits Times reported. The annual conference will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

The discussions will cover issues faced by the biggest supplier, the Middle East, and Asia, the biggest buyer, said a statement.

Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is expected to deliver a keynote address at the event that will attract 1,000 participants. ASEAN Secretary-General Ong Keng Yong is also among the speakers.

The conference will be organised by the Malaysian national oil company Petronas and co-managed by the Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute, Conference Connection Incorporation and the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research.

First held in 1996, the annual event has become Asia's premier oil and gas gathering.
