Workshop on Biofuel Technology and Management

AIT’s EPSM/Energy Field of Study is organizing a training workshop on "Biofuel Technology and Management," from 26-28 September 2007, at the AIT Conference Center.

Training course topics:

Overview of biofuel technologies; Biofuels production processes for energy and transportation; Capture and production of biofuels from municipal solid waste; Biofuel technologies from waste water; Environmental impact assessment of the biofuel plant; Community relations; Grid connection issues of distributed generation; SPP and VSPP pricing and policy; Potential CDM benefits of biofuels and power generation; Biofuel power project investment; Risk management of energy projects; Technical Visit.

Attendees are requested to register for this training in advance. The registration fee is US$300 (10,000 baht) per participant. For attendees from government agencies, state enterprises, universities, or AIT alumni, the registration fee is US$250 (8,500 baht). For students, the registration fee is US$220 (7,200 baht). This fee covers costs of lunch, refreshments, training material and field trip. Accommodation can be arranged at the AIT Conference Center or hotel near AIT, upon request of participants.
