East Asia Regional Biometric Conference 2007 (EAR-BC’07)

Tokyo, Japan - One of the aim of the conference is to allow participants from East Asia countries as well as different parts of the world to exchange ideas and to establish long-term collaborative relationships.

On behalf of the Organizing and Scientific Programme Committee, it is a great pleasure to invite you to attend the first Regional Conference of East Asia Regions of the International Biometric Society. It will bring participants from East Asia Regions working in academic institutions, regulatory agencies, and industry together to present new research on the latest advances in biometry, biostatistics and bioinformatics. One of the aim of the conference is to allow participants from East Asia countries as well as different parts of the world to exchange ideas and to establish long-term collaborative relationships. These sessions included prominent representatives from a range of different disciplines in these fields. Three-day conference includes invited sessions, contributed sessions and poster presentations.
In December, Tokyo is usually sunny but somewhat cold. The winter nights are always illuminated with Christmas display. We hope you enjoy staying in Tokyo and also a plenty of the intellectual conversations at conference.

Call for Abstracts
All participants are invited to submit abstracts for both contributed papers and posters. Authors should indicate whether it is intended as an oral presentation or as a poster presentation. The deadline for the submission of abstracts is 30 October 2007.
Abstracts should be submitted via online abstract submission system (http://wwwsoc.nii.ac.jp/jbs/index_e.html)
All correspondence regarding the abstracts will be sent to the corresponding author. Authors will be informed of the acceptance of abstracts by 1st November 2007. The abstract should be written in English and must not exceed 400 words (including references). The title must not exceed 30 words. The whole abstract including first author name, co-author names (maximum 10 persons), institution names, title, and abstract text must not exceed 600 words in total. The Tables and Figures can not be included in the abstract. Letters must be 12 characters per inch. 10 characters per inch can be used for references. Single or one-and-a-half spacing must be used. For author(s) name(s), initial(s) or first name should precede the family name. Omit degrees, street address and postcode. Please note that presenters of abstracts are not automatically registered for the conference. Abstracts and registration for the conference are handled separately.
