Singapore - The 2nd International Conference of the Asia Pacific Society for Healthcare Quality will draw attendance from leading healthcare professionals from the region as well as international experts in healthcare quality.

The 2nd International Conference of the Asia Pacific Society for Healthcare Quality will draw attendance from leading healthcare professionals from the region as well as international experts in healthcare quality, who will share their experiences and challenges.
The theme, "Redefining Quality in Healthcare" will also provide opportunities for CEOs, healthcare management professionals, clinicians, nursing and allied health professionals to exchange ideas on trends and best practices. Two Pre-Conference workshops, Clinical Incident Management Workshop & Quality Improvement Workshop, will also be conducted on 16 January 2008 at KK Women's and Children's Hospital & Singapore General Hospital respectively.

Workshop Description
KKH has implemented a Clinical Incident Management to improve communications and better manage incidents following serious adverse clinical incidents. The team used a standard systematic approach following a set of protocols. This has helped to improve relationships with patients and reduced the risk of medical litigation and adverse publicity.
This workshop will be presenting the use of this systematic approach and how it can be effectively implemented in a hospital. Medicolegal cases will be shared with interactive discussions.
