3rd Asia Pacific Nutrigenomics Conference

Melbourne, Australia - The theme of the event is Diet-Gene Interaction in Human Health and Disease. It includes a thorough overview of current science in the area, presented by leading international experts in the field.

The 3rd Asia Pacific Nutrigenomics Conference 2008: Diet-Gene Interaction in Human Health and Disease is being held in Melbourne, Australia, from May 6-9.

This exciting conference will feature three days of plenary presentations and poster sessions, with a further day of workshop sessions. It includes a thorough overview of current science in the area, presented by leading international experts in the field.

Topics which will be addressed at the meeting include diet and epigenetic effects, nutrigenomics and its role in obesity, cardiovascular disease and inflammation, nutrigenetics, and the effects of diet on genome damage. In addition, the workshops will provide an in-depth look at different research methods, industry perspectives and regulatory issues facing the area.

We expect this conference to be of particular interest to food scientists, nutritionists, dieticians, gastroenterologists, nurses, members of the food industry, food regulators, and people interested in how diet can interact with the human genome to influence their health. There will be many opportunities to network and begin collaborations between leading experts and participants in this rapidly-developing field.

Expect an exciting and rewarding experience at the 3rd Asia Pacific Nutrigenomics Conference 2008.
