International FoodTec India in New Delhi – a satellite exhibition of Anuga FoodTec in Cologne
New Delhi, India - This event will provide ideal opportunities for entering the rapidly developing Indian market to companies offering services and technologies for the food processing industry.
At International FoodTec India, 213 companies from 21 countries displayed the full spectrum of their products on about 7,500 m² of exhibition space. Of these, 126 companies, or 60 per cent of the total, came from India and 85 suppliers, or 40 per cent, came from abroad. In all, 25 renowned suppliers came from Germany alone.
Build up on four pillars – processing and packaging, food ingredients, beverage technologies, cooling and refrigeration – the complete range of the industry was displayed. The parallel events Dairy Universe and Sweet & Snack Factory were dedicated to the dairy industry and the sweet processing industry. With the ingredients pavillion we set a focus on special food ingredients.
The International FoodTec India with the parallel events Sweet & Snack Factory India and Dairy Universe India will be held from 6. - 8. October 2008.
Special Highlight: Ingredients
Content matters…The food industry in India is at the beginning of a tremendous growth phase. What this translates into, of course, is immense opportunity for the various ingredient manufacturers who serve this industry. Ingredients are becoming more and more important for innovative and safe food products in all sectors of the food industry.
It therefore makes sense to be where the food processing industry will meet: At International FoodTec India 2008.
Under the leadership of FICCI - CIFTI – the Confederation of the Indian Food Trade & Industry – the Ingredients Pavilion will form an important part of the show.
A committee, specifically for Ingredients & Additives has been established within FICCI-CIFTI under the chairmanship of Danisco with the objective of providing a platform to industry to address key issues including regulation, taxation, business promotion etc
FICCI – CIFTI will be organizing a technical seminar on the sidelines of International FoodTec India with Ingredients as the theme. A knowledge paper on the subject will be released at the hands of the Honorable Minister for Food Processing Technologies, Shri Subodh Kant Sahai during this seminar.
