Powering South Asia with Entrepreneurship and Education

Kathmandu, Nepal - GKP Members, partners and other regional ICT4D players will engage in knowledge sharing and partnership building on the role of ICT in promoting access to and supporting the provision of quality education, and also driving entrepreneurship through entrepreneurial learning and entrepreneurial radio.

The Global Knowledge Partnership Regional Network for South Asia will convene for GKP SOUTH ASIA 2008: Powering South Asia with Entrepreneurship and Education in Kathmandu, Nepal on 18-19 June 2008.

GKP Members, partners and other regional ICT4D players will engage in knowledge sharing and partnership building on the role of ICT in promoting access to and supporting the provision of quality education, and also driving entrepreneurship through entrepreneurial learning and entrepreneurial radio.

GKP SOUTH ASIA 2008 is a multi-stakeholder partnership initiative anchored by Forum for Information Technology (FIT) Nepal; High Level Commission for information Technology, Nepal (HLCIT); National Information Technology Center Nepal (NITC); International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD); Bellanet; Panos South Asia and other partners in Nepal.

The GKP event is preceded by the International Conference on Electronic Commerce in the 21st Century (ECIC-2008) co-organised by the High Level Commission for information Technology, Government of Nepal (HLCIT) on 2-4 June and is followed by the Swaabhimaan 2065: Third Annual Conference on Rural Telecentres of Nepal organised by Forum for Information Technology (FIT) Nepal on 19-20 June.
