International Symposium On Electrohydrodynamics (ISEHD 2009)
UNIMAS, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia - The meeting has as objectives to promote international cooperation and technological progress based on the interaction between electrical and fluid mechanics phenomena.
INTRODUCTION
The Board of the Electrohydrodynamics Technical Committee of the IEEE/DEIS/EHD has selected Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Sarawak, Malaysia, as the location for its 2009 International Symposium on Electrohydrodynamics (ISEHD2009). The Faculty of Engineering, UNIMAS therefore proposes to organize the ISEHD2009 from 25th to 28th March 2009 in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.
BACKGROUND
This conference is also co-sponsored by International Electrostatic Assembly. The meeting has as objectives to promote international cooperation and technological progress based on the interaction between electrical and fluid mechanics phenomena. This reunion is preceded by six international symposiums held every two to three years in different countries (Canada, Italy, France and Argentina). The last international symposium, the 2006 International Symposium on Electrohydrodynamics (2006ISEHD) was held successfully from 4th to 6th December 2006 in Faculty of Engineering, University of Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina. This conference attracted about 80 reviewed full-paper and 60 posters and all of them were presented. In these occasions, researchers, students, engineers, managers and technicians have assisted from around the globe and profited from the opportunity to interact and network with top people working on continuum electromechanics.
At this opportunity, the program will consist of oral presentations and posters given by the participants in plenary sessions. Invited lectures given by distinguished scientists are planned. The working language of the symposium will be English.

The main objectives of the proposed conference are to promote international cooperation and technological progress based on the interaction between electrical and fluid mechanics phenomena.
