'Forced to move: Involuntary Displacement and Resettlement: Policy and Practice'
The 9th Annual Symposium on Poverty Research in Sri Lanka will focus on displacement and resettlement experiences related to development, conflict and natural causes. This symposium intends to bring together lessons and analysis from the different types to create dialog and collaboration among researchers, policy makers and practitioners to improve the policies and implementation of resettlement processes that are taking place.
The Symposium is open to local and international researchers, practitioners, academics, students, private sector and civil society representatives working on various aspects of resettlement and displacement. The workshop will be held in English with simultaneous translation in Sinhala and Tamil, to facilitate discussion and participation.
