Keio University 150th Anniversary Commemorative Ceremony and Events

A ceremony to commemorate Keio University's 150th anniversary will be held at the Hiyoshi Campus on Saturday, November 8, 2008. The occasion will be attended by some 10 000 people, including alumni, students, and guests from Japan and abroad.

KEIO UNIVERSITY 150TH ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE CEREMONY AND EVENTS

A ceremony to commemorate Keio University's 150th anniversary will be held at the Hiyoshi Campus on Saturday, November 8, 2008. Planned as a formal and international program befitting the occasion, it will be attended by some 10 000 people, including alumni, students, and guests from Japan and abroad.

The program will include ceremonial speeches, congratulatory addresses, visual presentations, and music interwoven with group singing by all in attendance.

In addition, several events are planned for November 7, the day prior to the ceremony, that include issuance of the "Keio University 150th anniversary commemorative postage stamp" and holding of an international symposium. On November 9th, the day following the ceremony, a Rengo Mitakai (alumni association) event is scheduled that will feature a concert among numerous other events.
