The 14th International Conference on Thinking (14th ICOT)

University Putra Malaysia proudly announces that it has won the bid to host this major international event from 22nd -26th June, 2009. This conference will address a range of important disciplines in the various areas of thinking for the benefit of mankind. The conference theme is: “Thinking Minds: Nurturing the Design of a Better Future.”

The 14th International Conference on Thinking (14th ICOT) will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from June 22-26, 2009. This major international event is making its presence felt in South East Asia after 12 years. The first South East Asian country to host it was Singapore in 1997. In 2007, the 13th conference was held at Norrkoping, Sweden. The conference theme is: “Thinking Minds: Nurturing the Design of a Better Future.”

This conference will address a range of important disciplines in the various areas of thinking for the benefit of mankind. Main speakers will include some of the world’s leading thinkers in the field of education, management, business, health & medicine, science and technology, arts, humanities and culture, engineering and manufacturing, sustainability and the environment, media and entertainment and many others. This conference will include approximately 200 presentations (papers, workshops, posters etc) by professionals, corporate practitioners, educators, researchers and others.

This is a conference for any person with an interest in, and concern for, the nurturing of a design for a better future which is the conference theme. Participants will be able to meet international cutting edge thinkers, leaders, researchers and practitioners from various disciplines. The conference welcomes all those who are interested in understanding what THINKING is all about and or what is GOOD / EFFECTIVE THINKING.

Paper presenters are welcome to submit a presentation proposal either for a 40 -minute Peer Review paper, 30-minute Paper, 90-minute Workshop, 90-minute Symposia, 90-minute Forum or a 30-minute Poster.
