The 3rd National Conference on Infectious Diseases (3rd NCID)

The 3rd National Conference on Infectious Diseases (3rd NCID) is for health-care workers and researchers in the management of infectious disease.

The 3rd National Conference on Infectious Diseases (3rd NCID) is a follow-up to the 1st and 2nd NCID that were successfully held on 28th to 29th September 2005 in the School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia and 14th to15th February 2007 at the Hotel Grand River View, Kota Bharu, Kelantan, respectively. With themes on “Preparedness in Managing Infectious Disease” (1st NCID) and “Immunocompromised Host: Challenges in Management” (2nd NCID), both events had attracted over 200 participants from all over Malaysia and managed to impart knowledge and highlighted selected important issues pertaining to infectious diseases.

The 3rd NCID aims at continuing to be the meeting point for health-care workers and researchers in the management of infectious disease. Thus, “Innovative Approaches in Infectious Diseases: Towards Sustainable Healthcare” has been chosen as the theme for the conference and experts in the management and diagnostics of infectious diseases have been identified as speakers for the conference. Paper presentations will be invited from all participants, accentuating recent techniques or management of infectious diseases leading to sustainable healthcare. This two-day conference is hoped to provide a platform for participants to exchange ideas and establish collaboration and networking in infectious diseases.
