Call for Papers - INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON COMMUNICATION AND ENVIRONMENT: TRANSFORMATION FOR A SUSTAINABLE TOMORROW
The impact of globalisation on the environment has reached such an alarming stage that it is vital to create greater awareness of environmental problems and educate the public on environmental issues.
Communication is obviously important in terms of providing awareness about developments in a globalised world, and it becomes especially crucial in the area of environment. The degradation of environment locally and globally has continued to escalate the danger to Mother Nature. The impact of globalisation on the environment has reached such an alarming stage that it is vital to create greater awareness of environmental problems and educate the public on environmental issues.
The role of environmental communication should be, therefore, to advance environment protection and promote sustainability. Hence, it is crucial to see how we comprehend the relationship between our daily practices and the sustainability of the natural world. These issues should be addressed and deliberated.
The objectives of the conference are:
* To address the relationship between communication theories and practices pertaining to environmental issues.
* To act as a forum to chart future directions for policy, research, advocacy and other forms of collaboration.
* To provide a platform for networking among scholars, media practitioners, environmental and community activists, and other stakeholders.
