Mekong Media Forum
The Mekong Media Forum will gather media professionals from the six countries in the region to discuss the state of media and creative space, learn new skills, and exchange experiences and ideas around media as an actor for social change in their societies.
Registration is now open for the Mekong Media Forum, which will gather media professionals from the six countries in the region to discuss the state of media and creative space, learn new skills, and exchange experiences and ideas around media as an actor for social change in their societies.
The Forum will be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand on Dec. 9-12, 2009, with the theme ‘Voices at a Time of Change’.
Several types of participation are available, from individual delegates to media and other participants. More information, including registration forms, is available at http://mekongmediaforum.net/registration.
Special rates are available for registrants who sign up during the early registration stage from Jul. 1 to Aug. 31, 2009.

As part of a mix of formats at the event, the Forum will also have satellite sessions (http://mekongmediaforum.net/satellite-sessions) and exhibit opportunities (http://mekongmediaforum.net/exhibit-opportunities/) for interest groups.
As organisation for the Forum gets in into higher year, MMF is also also calling for documenters (http://mekongmediaforum.net/documenters) and volunteers (http://mekongmediaforum.net/volunteers) to help with the event. Information in Thai for volunteers is also available and the involvement of young people is welcome.
