2nd International Firefly Symposium
THEME: Firefly Conservation: From Science to Practice DATE: 2-5 August 2010 VENUE: Forest Research Institute Malaysia
This symposium coincides with the 25th anniversary of the Forest Research Institute Malaysia and the 70th anniversary of the Malaysian Nature Society, both of which are organisers of the symposium. It is also in conjunction with the International Year of Biodiversity 2010 and will be held in Selangor, a state in Malaysia where the heart of firefly ecotourism lies.
Objectives:
(1) Promote the exchange of information and ideas among firefly experts and enthusiasts
(2) Promote research on fireflies
(3) Foster international networking on firefly research
