3rd National Natural Language Processing Research Symposium

This 2-day forum highlights recent NLP researches of the College of Computer Studies, DLSU, and provides seminar/workshops on the English and Filipino languages, translation and discourse analysis. The focus of the symposium is on "Building Language Tools and Resources."

The College of Computer Studies of De La Salle University-Manila will be having its 3rd National Natural Language Processing (NLP) Research Symposium on February 17-18, 2006 at the 5th Flr. Yuchengco Seminar Room of the Yuchengco Building of the DLSU-Manila Campus.

This 2-day forum highlights recent NLP researches of the College of Computer Studies, DLSU, and provides seminar/workshops on the English and Filipino languages, translation and discourse analysis. The focus of the symposium is on "Building Language Tools and Resources."

Four research fora will be held on the first day of the symposium and topics include Hybrid English-Filipino Machine Translation System, Machine Translation (MT) Systems, MT Resources and Tools, and Language Tools.

The second day is a series of seminars and workshops on The Filipino Language and Its Translation, The English Language, Syntax and Discourse Analysis and Corpus Linguistics and Discourse Analysis.
