International symposium on the 'Biology of Mind'

The first international symposium of the Strategic Exploitation of Neuro-Genetics for Emergence of the Mind program is to be held on 3 February 2011 in Tokyo, Japan.

The RIKEN Brain Science Institute and the Keio University Central Institute for Experimental Animals are proud to present the first international symposium of the Strategic Exploitation of Neuro-Genetics for Emergence of the Mind program—a research program funded by the Japanese government’s prestigious FIRST funding scheme for world-leading innovative research and development on science and technology. This interdisciplinary symposium on the Biology of Mind—A Human Evolutionary Perspective to be held on 3 February 2011 in Tokyo, Japan, will bring together outstanding researchers in the social sciences, humanities and natural sciences to explore the outlook and possibilities for the project. The symposium, held in English with simultaneous interpretation in Japanese, is open to all and free to attend (Registration in advance is recommended).
