6th CMS VATAVARAN 2011, environment and wildlife film festival

The much awaited environment and wildlife biennial international competitive film festival and forum, CMS VATAVARAN is back. Film entries are invited from Indian and International filmmakers for 2011 festival focusing on biodiversity conservation.

The festival was initiated in 2002 and the fifth CMS VATAVARAN Competitive Film Festival was organised in 2009 under the theme ‘Climate Change and Sustainable Technologies’. The festival had attracted 366 entries from 20 Indian states and 23 foreign countries. Twenty two programmes were organised including workshop on confronting climate change, international environmental journalists congress, seminar on eco-tourism and climate change primer for teachers.

Theme for 2011 film festival is 'Biodiversity Conservation'. It will be organised from Dec 06-10, 2011 at New Delhi, India.

Call for entries have been announced for the sixth edition of India’s much appreciated environment and wildlife film festival and forum CMS VATAVARAN. Held biennially in New Delhi, the film festival has become one of the most awaited events for wildlife filmmakers, researchers and environment experts across the globe. Last date for submission of films in ten categories is May 31, 2011. The film festival will be organised from December 06-10, 2011
