F+L Week 2013 Conference & Exhibition

F&L Asia Ltd., which is the organizer of F+L Week, is headquartered in Hong Kong, although it had its beginnings in Manila, Philippines. The first Annual Fuels & Lubes Asia Conference was held at the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort in Singapore in 1995.

Conference Theme:
Fuel Economy: Is there an end?
What can Fuels and Lubricants offer?

Serving as a bridge between the developed and emerging markets, F&L Asia has played a pivotal role in bringing base oils, lubricants, fuels and additives technology to center stage in Asia since 1995. F+L Week is the sounding board for the latest developments in the industry in the world’s fastest growing market.

“Fuel economy” is probably the most important industry issue today because of its role in ensuring energy security and economic sustainability. Thus, it cuts across politics, the environment and economics.

Engine engineers are now studying how to improve vehicle fuel economy by improving not only the engine itself, but also through new technologies that use engines more efficiently by downsizing and supercharging, hybrids, range extenders, plug-in-hybrids and so on.

These new technologies seem to have new requirements for Fuels & Lubricants. Most likely, they will require new Fuels & Lubricants specifications in the near future.
