The Scope of JAPAN NANO 2013 :

The role of science and technology in society and economy is becoming increasingly important in solving global issues such as energy security, raw materials resources, and environment. New and challenging R&D approaches are required for stable supply of resources and their efficient use in harmony with environment. They will lead to sustainable development of society.

Nanotechnology, which means analyzing, controlling, and integrating materials or devices at nanometer scale, is expected to produce significant technological innovation to help solve these issues.

In the present symposium, advancement of recent R&D especially in the field of renewal energy sources, energy savings, and raw materials sources will be reviewed.
