Malaysia-CLMV Regional Cooperation in Technology Transformation and R&D Commercialisation

To share best practices in commercialising university R&D; help create partnerships between university and business communities in bio-economy of CLMV and Malaysia; and to facilitate revenue generation through cross-border active transfer and marketing of technologies.

Networking and partnership are the two essential strategies in moving research and technology development to market place. They become more relevant when the products developed are much needed by the communities governing the network and the partners.

This workshop will discuss potential university-industry collaboration and cross-border entrepreneurial bio-business development, especially in transfer and commercialisation (TTC) of technologies developed by participating researchers in these five nations. Topics to be examined include best practices of TTC to be implemented by academe and industry as well as how the private and government agencies can enhance a supportive TTC ecosystem in terms of resources and infrastructure.

Participants will have the opportunity both to display their product information in the provided complimentary poster areas and to initiate collaboration and partnership during the business matching/networking session. To complement the technical and academic deliberation, visits showcasing successful companies involved with bio-business have been arranged.
