Global Entrepreneurship Week: My Entrepreneurial Journey Singaporean perspectives

Learn from three of Singapore's successful innovative entrepreneurs as they share their personal experiences in their journey towards growth and expansion. Join us for an informal lunch networking thereafter.

Who should attend:
Investors, inventors, technopreneurs, social entrepreneurs, business owners, start-ups, international business development managers.
Teachers and academics and practioners of innovation and creative thinking are also welcomed to learn how disruptive innovations like 3D printing will change notion of production as we know it, and how we inculcate this paradigm shift in our teaching methods if we were to be prepared for the new world of inevitable but exciting challenges and rewards that this will be bring.

About the Speakers:
Charles Toh, Inventor, Michael & Charles International Pte Ltd
Charles Toh the inventor holds 2 Patents Granted and the 3rd will be the Co2Saver/CanOpener. He has been nominated Twice for the Singapore's President Design Awards. And has been on national television twice on an Innovation show by famous Singapore Director Jack Neo, the show is called Creatively Mine2, and has won the 1st Prize by MediaCorp. This was for his invention the DengueProtector™ By CharlesDesigns™ Automatic Bamboo-Pole-Cover and Mosquito Trap, which has been successfully commercialised.

Tay Kok Chin, Adjunct Lecturer for Social Entrepreneurship, Temasek Polytechnic
Tay Kok Chin is an active volunteer for civil society from 2008. Among his portfolio as a volunteer, he was the founding Chairman of the Corporate Giving Council (2012-2013), member of the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) Comcare Enterprise Fund panel (2009-2013), Vice President of Social Venture Partners (Singapore) since 2009, Director for The Kind Exchange (2010-2012) and a few others.
He currently works part-time for a social enterprise in the educational games sector, and provides advisory services for a startup in innovative buildings. He is an adjunct lecturer for Social Entrepreneurship at Temasek Polytechnic. Prior to his current roles, he was with IBM for about 5 years, managing their Global Partners and Corporate Citizenship initiatives. He had worked many years in Saudi Arabia, England and Singapore in the geophycial and infocomm industries.

Woon Junyang, CEO and Founder, Infinium Robotics Pte Ltd
Woon Junyang started his carrer as a Naval Warfare Operations Officer, and later became Head, Manpower, Planning and Strategy Branch in the Singapore Armed Forces. After 8 years in the corporate field, he decided to take the leap of faith and founded Infinium Robotics Pte Ltd. The company provides cutting edge technological solutions to businesses to improve productivity and efficiency. Specialty areas include unmanned autonomous robotics solutions, unmanned aerial vehicles, indoor/outdoor robotics navigation solutions, as well as autonomous aerial display of robot formations.
