Commercialisation of Technology: International Training Workshop, Tehran, Iran, 22 – 25 May 2016
Greetings from the Centre for Science and Technology of the Non-Aligned and Other Developing Countries (NAM S&T Centre)!!
Huge amount of innovative creativity and new knowledge is being generated each day worldwide in the academic and R&D organisations, both private and public funded, much of which is often ripe or a screw turn away for economic exploitation.
Yet the successful transfer, utilisation and commercialisation of such research results is a highly complex process, which may require a variety of mechanisms, including, among others, the scientific publications, mobility of researchers, affiliation of innovators and R&D personnel with the industry (and vice-versa), contract research and collaborative R&D with industry and licensing of inventions to industry.
Academic and R&D agencies may value add to their R&D results through outright sale, transfer or licensing of intellectual property to existing or start-up firms and university spin-offs.
In order to discuss and deliberate on possible ways for successful commercialisation of the R&D achievements, the Centre for Science & Technology of the Non-Aligned and Other Developing Countries (NAM S&T Centre) announces the organisation of an International Training Workshop on ‘Commercialisation of Technology’ at Pardis Technology Park in Tehran, Iran during 22–25 May 2016, which is also a partner agency of the Centre in this joint scientific event.
