Malaysia Technology Expo 2017 returns to Kuala Lumpur showcasing the region’s latest inventions & ideas

With its theme of “Moving innovations to Market” MTE 2017 will be expected to showcase over 500 platform inventions.

We are pleased to announce that the 16th Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) 2017, will return on 16-18 February 2017 as the region’s definitive invention and innovation expo at Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur. With its theme of “Moving innovations to Market” MTE 2017 will be expected to showcase over 500 platform inventions. MTE 2017 has long been known as an ideal platform that enables inventors, designers and technocrats to establish their identity and to exhibit and promote their products, technology and ideas to the science and technology industry in Malaysia and the surrounding regions. Due to the overwhelming response received at the last installment in 2016, when MTE 2016 attracted 397 inventions and innovations entries, 113 exhibitors and 4,500 visitors, MTE 2017 promises to be an even bigger affair, attracting an estimated 8,000 visitors and 130 exhibiting companies. MTE 2017 is the brainchild of Malaysian Association of Research Scientists (MARS) and Protemp Exhibitions and Conferences Sdn Bhd., who conceived MTE as a marketplace for inventions and ideas. MTE has consistently served as a perfect venue for investors and manufacturers seeking new products to commercialize, or solutions to manufacturing problems. It is also offers a networking platform encouraging the public and private sectors discuss collaborations for commercialization and R&D. One of the main highlights of MTE 2017 remains its prestigious award programmes, which honour the innovation and creativity of inventors, innovators and designers. The Invention and Innovation Awards 2017 continues to be a platform for inventors to showcase cradle or near-term projects to the public and potential investors. The Malaysia International Design Expo & Awards 2017 recognizes design excellence and showcases outstanding industrial designs. For young inventors, who will be the leading innovators of tomorrow, the Asian Youth Innovation Awards & Expo 2017 will serve to unlock their potential as the award providing secondary, high school, college, polytechnic students with a platform to display their inventions and gain confidence in presenting their ideas. All entries are judged live onsite at the event to ensure fair and impartial assessment. MTE 2017 is open from 10:00 am to 6:00pm on 16-17 February 2017 (Trade Visitors only) and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on 18 February (Trade & Public).
