Laboratory Executive - Dr Anthony Khong

A full-time Laboratory Executive in the Khong laboratory is available starting on May.1 2023. This position’s goal is to support the Principal Investigator and his team regarding research, laboratory, and administrative needs. The successful candidate will also help Assistant Prof Anthony Khong set up the new laboratory at the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore. The Khong laboratory will study how biomolecular condensates are involved in cancer biology.

We now seek a Research Assistant/ Associate to join the team of Prof. Ashok Venkitaraman. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a world-leading cancer researcher to undertake pioneering research on the role of genome instability in human carcinogenesis (eg., see Venkitaraman Science (2014) PMID:24675954 and Venkitaraman DNA Repair (2019) PMID:31337537). The role will provide expertise in the establishment, genetic manipulation and maintenance of human and murine cell cultures, performance of animal work as well as design/ perform and analyse work within the project parameters.

Laboratory Executive (Microscopy) – Dr Anand Jeyasekharan

This position is an appointment to CSI MMA Core. The microscopy section of the MMA Core offers scientists a variety of confocal (Zeiss LSM880 with Airy Scan, Nikon A1R), widefield epifluorescence and live-time imaging microscopes (Zeiss and Olympus) to facilitate good-quality image acquisition for their research. We are looking for a meticulous and dedicated staff to anchor the day-to-day running of our microscopy session including the training new users and helping to optimise the settings of the equipment for optimal imaging of research materials. This staff will also assist in various administrative duties including purchasing and billing, as well in contributing towards other core services when appropriate.

A research associate position is available immediately in Prof Daniel Tenen’s lab for a highly motivated Master or Ph.D. graduate with background in molecular or cellular biology, and bioinformatics to develop a novel, fully automated analysis pipeline for the newly emerging ChIP sequencing methods: “Cut and Run” and “Cut and Tag” in cancer related study. The successful candidate will help to design pipeline, conduct experiments pipelines, analyse data and write papers.

A postdoctoral position is available immediately for an extremely motivated Ph.D with a strong background in molecular or cellular biology, biochemistry, or other related fields. The successful candidate will help design and conduct experiments, analyse data, write papers and grants. Projects involve studying the novel mechanisms of replication stress and genome instability in cancers.
