Senior Research Scientist - Prof. Ashok's Lab

We now seek a Research Scientist/ Senior Research Scientist to join the team of Prof. Ashok Venkitaraman. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a world-leading cancer researcher to undertake pioneering research on the role of genome instability in human carcinogenesis (eg., see Venkitaraman Science (2014) PMID:24675954 and Venkitaraman DNA Repair (2019) PMID:31337537). This position will be jointly under Dr. Tan Yong Zi, who is an expert on single-particle cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM) (see https://www.tyzlab.com/). His lab is a core member of the Centre for BioImaging Sciences' (CBIS), and have access to high-end cryo-EM microscopes, including a Titan Krios with K3 direct detector and energy filter. The aim of this joint position is to use cryo-EM to help solve the structures of many exciting cancer complexes to help with potential drug development.

Research Fellow (Bioinformatician) - A/Prof. Polly Chen's Lab

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in A/Prof Polly Chen’s groups for a highly motivated PhD graduate with experience in Bioinformatics (computational genomics). The focus of A/P Polly Chen’s lab is on the transcriptome-wide identification of RNA changes (e.g., RNA editing, alterative splicing, altered protein-RNA interactions, etc) in tumors and functional investigation of these changes in cancer.

Core Facility Manager - Dr Jason Pitt/ A.Prof. Touati's Lab

The Core Facility Manager for Genomics and Data Analytics Core (GeDaC) will be responsible for designing and implementing a technical roadmap for genome science at CSI. He/She will oversee both scientific and administrative operations and liaise with key personnel to ensure interoperability of CSI platforms with other key stakeholders in Singapore.

This position exists to manage and operate the next-generation sequencing core facility (i.e., Genomics Bench), to oversight, and provide day to day administrative support of the GeDAC on matters pertaining to organisational infrastructure, liaison between the GeDAC divisions/sections, business/budget, and reports/updates.

Laboratory Executive

Job Description We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Laboratory Executive to aid in proteomic research and data management for the NUS Centre for Cancer Research (N2CR) Precision Cancer Medicine Theme. This will include supporting mass spectrometry imaging (MSI)-based glycomic and proteomic studies of clinical patient samples at SurgiCAL ProtEomics Laboratory (SCALPEL) at Institute for Health Innovation & Technology (iHealthtech), as well as cross-departmental proteomic and clinical data management between iHealthtech and Cancer Science Institute of Singapore (CSI). A variety of cutting-edge techniques and state-of the-art instruments are used in the laboratory, while training and guidance will be provided, a desire to gain independence and good work ethics are essential. Job holder will also assist N2CR PCM Theme with organizing theme-related meetings and events.
