Professor or Associate Professor (Cell Biology)

Job Description
The Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences (iCeMS) of Kyoto University Institute for Advanced Study (KUIAS) is seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Professor or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a new field of cell biology, aiming at elucidation of the mechanisms underlying fundamental cell biological processes. In connection with this, the successful candidate will also be required to secure significant growth of the integrated field of bioscience and sciences such as chemistry, physics, biotechnology, informatics, and mathematics, aiming at implementation of research achievements as well as creation of innovations.

1. Curriculum vitae (Position sought, prof. or associate prof. must be indicated)
2. List of academic publications, reprints of up to three (3) key research papers
3. List of printed publications other than research papers
4. Detailed record of academic activities (affiliated societies), as well as research grants (e.g. “KAKENHI” Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research) and awards received
5. Summary of research conducted up to present (within 2 pages of A4 paper)
6. Outline of research purpose and methods intended by the candidate at KUIAS, when accepted (within 2 pages of A4 paper)
