Building on the prestige and success of its previous editions, we are delighted to announce the 12th World Sustainability Forum (WSF-12): Innovative Pathways for Sustainable, Resilient Cities and a Greener Planet. Organized by MDPI Sustainability Foundation and supported by MDPI’s open access journal Sustainability (ISSN: 2071-1050, Impact Factor 3.3), the forum will be held from 21–24 August 2026 in Hong Kong, China.

As part of the forum, the MDPI Sustainability Foundation will host the award ceremony of World Sustainability Award (WSA) and the Emerging Sustainability Leader Award (ESLA)—recognizing exceptional contributions to sustainability research.
- World Sustainability Award (WSA): 100,000 USD for a researcher with transformative impact.
- Emerging Sustainability Leader Award (ESLA): 20,000 USD for an early-career researcher demonstrating outstanding innovation and influence.
