King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT)

Since its establishment in 1960 as a science and technology college, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi has consistently strived to produce quality graduates, provide excellence in education and research, serve the community and make contributions to society at large.

KMUTT is also determined to improve the total quality managementof the University, working to continuously benchmark performance and quality of service. KMUTT is indeed well known for our innovative programs and strong curricula in science, technology and engineering. In addition, we have developed a reputation for outstanding research, skilled and proficient graduates, distinguished faculty members and effective supporting staff.

As the first government institute to become an autonomous university in Thailand, we are better equipped to service the needs of our students and to direct research to real industrial and community issues. As one of the nine National Research Universities, KMUTT feels that it has a responsibility to society at large, especially rural and remote communities. The University’s educational reach extends well beyond Bangkok and the surrounding areas by creating linkages with these communities and directing research projects that are of direct benefit to them. In addition, KMUTT works hand in hand with industry, capitalizing on the trust and collaboration built up over many years.
