M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) is a highly recognized and respected Non-Governmental Organization. Its work culture is pro-poor, pro-nature and pro-women. MSSRF works currently on six program areas -- Coastal Systems Research; Biodiversity and Biotechnology; Ecotechnology;Reaching the unreached; Education, Communication, Training and Capacity Building; and Special projects. The work of MSSRF over a decade has generated innovative concept schools like Biovillage, Village Knowledge Centres, Virtual Academy, Village gene, seed, grain and food banks to address compelling issues of the poor and provide remedies.
