Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM)

Universiti Utara Malaysia was established for the purpose of developing and prospering management’s education. Its academic programs focus mainly on disciplines such as management, accounting, economy, information technology, public administration, human resource management, and entrepreneurship.

Universiti Utara Malaysia also plays the role as a catalyst in developing the northern region of the Malaysian Peninsular. With the facilities, infrastructure and human resource provided, the University is expected to be able to generate other socio-economic activities.

Besides teaching and research, the University also contributes to the social, economic and intellectual growth of the region. It plays the said role through its involvement in the community-based projects either singly, or jointly with other government agencies and private sectors. The University is gearing towards these objectives.

The objectives can be summarized into three main points, which are:

1. To develop the field of management as the center of excellence.

2. To become the center for reference for all management aspects.

3. To become the best resource center in the field of management.
