Redesigning Pedagogy: Culture, Knowledge and Understanding

Singapore - This conference provides an international forum for the presentation of findings from educational research being undertaken at Singapore's Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice. It also creates an opportunity for the sharing of ideas and expertise of educators and researchers internationally.

Keynotes addresses and panels (by invitation) will focus on a wide range of topics including: classroom talk and interaction; information technologies; school change, leadership and pedagogy; and curricular innovation in key areas. Each keynote address or panel will last about an hour while panels will last 1.5 hours to 2 hours.

In addition to plenary sessions where keynote speakers will address the whole assembly, concurrent sessions will be organised according to strands in the following format:

Paper Presentations providing opportunities for reporting of research findings by addressing issues in the strand, and presenting innovative programmes or best practices. Each session will last 1.5 hour comprising 3 presentations of 20 minutes each.

Symposia featuring group presentations by a team on a specific topic within a strand. These 1.5 hour sessions can accommodate up to 3 presentations for each symposium session.

Workshops which are skill-based, hands-on sessions featuring application of ideas.
