SEMINAR ON APPLICATION OF LASER IN MATERIALS PROCESSING

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
Laser material processing group (LMPG), J.U., incepted in 1993 under the sponsorship of Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India, had been pursuing collaborative research and development program with industries, R&D and academic institutions involving experts from multi-disciplinary fields of science and technology from India and abroad. LMPG blossomed into School of Laser Science & Engineering (SLSE), J.U. in 2002.
In continuation of the program adopted by LMPG in manpower development through holding WORKSHOP on APPLICATION of LASER in MECHANICAL INDUSTRIES, biennially since 1996, School of Laser Science & Engineering proposes to hold the seventh workshop in the series during January 17-18, 2008. The workshop aims at disseminating knowledge by experts in the fields of laser fundamentals, traditional and non-traditional materials processing.
SCOPE OF SEMINAR
Further, with the aim of exchanging state of the art knowledge in the fields of materials processing and its application, a two-day seminar will be organized during January 18-19, 2008. Papers are invited on the following theme :
 Laser materials processing
 Laser safety
 Laser based instrumentation
 Laser Micromachining
 Any other related topic
